| GENROKU-gama Tominaga Genroku (1859-1920) was an important figure among Japanese porcelain makers of his own time. He began the Genroku-gama ( kiln ) factory during the Meiji period with a goal of producing a highest quality porcelain in a traditional style of Imari from the 18th century. His roots and traditional techniques could be traced back to one of the oldest kilns in the early Imari history which was called "Ureshino-yaki" from the 17th century. Genroku-gama lasted until 1934.
